Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver – Adult Day Care Transportation
Are you an experienced Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) Driver or have you previously transported seniors or adults with disabilities to and from Adult Day Health Centers?
Our client is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and safety-focused driver to provide daily transportation for members attending an Adult Day Care program. This is an ideal opportunity for candidates with previous experience working for an Adult Day Care Center, NEMT company, senior transportation service, paratransit, medical transportation provider, or healthcare organization.

Responsibilities
- Safely transport members to and from Adult Day Care programs according to established schedules.
- Provide curb-to-curb assistance, including helping members safely enter and exit the vehicle.
- Assist passengers using walkers, wheelchairs, canes, or other mobility aids.
- Secure wheelchairs and mobility devices following safety protocols.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate transportation logs, mileage, pick-up/drop-off times, and incident reports.
- Communicate professionally with caregivers, dispatch, Adult Day Care staff, and family members regarding schedules or delays.
- Ensure every passenger experiences a safe, respectful, and comfortable ride.
- Follow all DOT, state, company, and safety regulations.
We're Looking For Candidates Who Have Experience In
- Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT)
- Adult Day Health Care or Adult Day Care transportation
- Senior transportation services
- Medical transportation
- Paratransit
- Transportation for individuals with disabilities
- Healthcare, assisted living, memory care, or home care transportation
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- At least 1 year of experience transporting seniors or individuals with disabilities (NEMT, Adult Day Care, paratransit, or similar preferred).
- Experience assisting passengers with wheelchairs, walkers, and other mobility devices.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and compassionate.
- Ability to safely lift, assist, and support passengers as needed.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle record check.
